You can get alixpress ones that have replaceable nozzle tips for around $15, same as m4 bambulab replacement type. Works perfectly on mine.

I recently bought this printer and have been very happy with it.

Word of warning, though! Aliexpress 'Free Returns' are a complete SCAM. They will not honor it. If anything is wrong they will make you pay for return shipping, which on an item like this is quite expensive. Buy at your own risk.

Outstanding price. Look out for nozzles though, they are proprietary and very pricey. Like $30 a piece.

No, it's a flash forge closed version. Limits things like pressure and over customization that might break something for the basic user.

Yes you can use orca with this. There is a reskinned flashforge version of course but you can always use orca

Bought mine the last time this deal popped up. It's a great value and I haven't really had any issues. I put Forge-X firmware mod on it, adds a lot of features but also requires you to be responsible with how you configure it.

There's also a kit for these that allows you to 3d print an enclosure for this if you want an enclosed printer (the kit includes the necessary hardware and the acrylic windows).

What's this compared to the AD5X? If you took away the ability to do multicolor printing.

Found this to be a pretty good comparison between them all:

https://3dprinteddecor.com/flashf...o-vs-ad5x/

Missed the earlier deal on the AD5X, but anticipate that will pop up again. Jumped on this for the 5M, because it's a ridiculously good price. This will be my first CoreXY 3D Printer, and don't have a big need for multi-color yet, so going to put that to the test first. Then jump on an AD5X when they go on sale again if all goes well.

Love Bambu, but really hard to justify their price tag when these are getting so good for the price tag.

So is a AD5X the same as a AD5M (Non pro) except the AD5X has the ability to do multi color? Like, same overall components, same build quality, etc? I'm just wondering if a AD5X is even worth the premium if you don't mind not being able to have automated multicolor. AD5M Pro on the other hand gives more plastic material types like ABS and more consistent prints due to enclosure.

Essentially yes, but you can also print an enclosure for the 5M as well and their kit provides the doors as others have mentioned. So it's a really great budget champ for mono color printing.

The nozzles you're talking about, the "TZ" style nozzles, are a bit of a downgrade from the stock nozzles. They're cheaper in the long run, but the flow rate is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the stock nozzles. The stock nozzles have a flow rate of 32mm3/s, while the TZ are under 20mm3/s. You'll have to slow the prints down quite a bit if using nozzles larger than 0.4mm, which defeats the purpose of using the larger nozzles to begin with. It can be partially mitigated with a CHT style nozzle, but they're very hard to find these days due to patent enforcement. Phaetus just came out with a Conch hotend for the AD5M, which is a significant upgrade over both of them. It has a flow rate of close to 45mm3/s. It can be found for about $30-$35 on aliexpress and Amazon, comes with a hardened steel DLC coated nozzle, and you can get their silicon carbide nozzles for it for about $20 apiece. It uses V6 nozzles, and just about every manufacture makes a nozzle of different materials in that size, so you have a million different options, instead of just the cheap Chinese TZ nozzles.

I paid $304.98 for this before tax on Amazon in January. Still using the original nozzle but I print in PLA and sometimes PETG. After using the original plate and two others I bought a BIQU CryoGrip plate and haven't used anything else since. At the moment those are $29.99 on Amazon. I've used it with Orca, Flashforge's version of Orca, and Flash Print. I tend to stick with the Flashforge version the most.

I ruined my stock .4mm nozzle on my ad5m.

This is the nozzle I replaced it with this one from aliexpress:
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...pt=glo2usa

Noo issues and was very easy except printing petg with hardened steel kinda sucks. It can stick the the nozzle easy.

I just bought these brass nozzles with teflon and was pretty easy to replace, not sure how long each will last: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZDPH3KP

I have some bimetal ones coming from aliexpress but didnt want to wait. There's some newer all-in-one piece that tout a better flow rate, but I only print in petg at 4mm so max I'm going to be printing is 12mm3/s for me.

If you need faster, go with stock or Phaetus .
