What do you mean by "traditional cleaning"?
The entire point is that you're omitting chemicals (& harsh smell/residue) from the process and sanitizing simultaneously. What's not to like here?

The entire premise is that it reduces on the need for elbow grease since it heats up and lifts stains easier. It also sanitizes at the same time. It's multipurpose so u dont need a diff chemical cocktail for each separate cleaning session. You can absolutely pair this with your brush of choice too.
The entire point is that you're omitting chemicals (& harsh smell/residue) from the process and sanitizing simultaneously. What's not to like here?
I try to use a few chemicals as possible--I am talking about warm water and soap. Also, I am sensitive to scratches so I do not like to use harsh abrasive, whether powder or as a scrubbing sponge. So used this steam cleaner on my cook top and I am not sure it did better than just traditional soap and water.
On my stove it performs beautifully against cooked-on stains on each burner. Soap and water can't even come remotely close to scrubbing off those burnt-on marks.
