What are the chances of these being fake?

To check an Apple power adapter's serial number, connect it to a Mac and open System Information by holding the Option key and clicking the Apple menu () > System Information. Then, select "Power" from the sidebar to view the AC charger details, including its manufacturer and serial number. If no serial number appears, the adapter is likely not a genuine Apple product.

If from walmart, less likely to be fake as compared to Amazon?

Is there a way to verify these with Apple? Boxes and all can be fake.

Thanks. Does the power supply need to be powering the Mac or just connected via USB C? Can the power extension cords be verified with that method too?

Seems like Apple is discontinuing this design for lower power devices?

I don't think Apple ever sold these in 2 packs, so I am suspect of their origin.

But either way, for less than $35 you could get a pair of nice compact charging blocks from Anker or Ugreen, probably even with 40-45W. Who wants these chunky white ones anymore?

OEM 2 pack versions don't exist. Definitely fake.
