Sugar water
Olipop Ginger Ale = 1G added sugars per can
vs
Canada Dry Ginger Ale = 33G added sugars per can

This is hardly what I'd call sugar water...

They were sued and lost because this stuff is not what it claims. This one may not have sugar but it's no better than water.
You're thinking of Coke's answer to Olipop, Poppi. They lost their lawsuit because they only have 2g of inulin per can and a 2023 NIH study showed the minimum effective dose is 5g. This flavor of Olipop contains 6g per can, other Olipop flavors go up to 9g.

Eating a diet rich in all of these other naturally occurring fibers — beans, vegetables, fruits, oats — that's where you're really going to get foundational support for your gut health," she added. "It's not from a flashy soda."

Your link just confirms what I told you. You're confusing two different brands.

If you want to play that game I can quote snippets of the article too.

Quote :
Scientific evidence suggests that at least 5 grams of prebiotics per day are needed to start seeing gut health benefits in adults. A trial conducted by Swanson and his University of Illinois colleagues found that 7.5 grams of agave inulin per day could help soften stool or increase a person's number of weekly bowel movements.
Quote :
From a nutrition standpoint, sodas like Poppi and Olipop are "better than a regular soda," she said."
Clearly there's not scientific consensus on the usefulness of inulin. You have a scientist who is providing quotes to a CNBC article. I at least have an actual study.

Ah, but not just any sugar water. Ginger Ale flavored prebiotic sugar water! Trust them, they play doctors on TV. 😉

I am amazed at all these accounts with very little active or brand new account that just promote their items they get credit for selling through links on Slickdeals.
