It's used for tendonitis of the elbow as well. You can hold and twist your wrist 180 degrees left and right slowly to strengthen tendons in you wrists and arms. I suspect you can probably use a hammer/rubber mallet to do the same thing
If I'm not mistaken, the clubs he's swinging are 70 lbs each.
I tried this with 12 lbs... it's so difficult. It's a great test of grip & core strength, stabilizing shoulder muscles, coordination and just strength overall.
