Just a heads up. When entering personal info on order, do not capitalize your first or last name. I read about this from another thread and it seems to work at keeping their security system from raising false security flags. Also used chrome incognito and VPN. Order went thru without a hitch.

I want to remind everyone that there is no need to port in a number for this deal. Slickdeals staff replaced my original post with their own that states a port is required. SD staff is wrong on this.

What does it mean when it doesn't discount the razr 24 down to $0, keeping it at $550?

It shows me $0 option at the start, lets me add to the cart but then irregardless of which plan I choose, shows me the full phone price in the cart
Remove from cart and start over. You have to choose the $65 plan or it'll charge full price.

I'm currently at 4 lines with a mix of phones and tablets all bought in the last 3 weeks
You might be maxed out. I think metro only gives you discounted prices for a maximum of 4 devices at one time. I dont know if you can port out a number to get a new spot to get discounts again, maybe someone can chime in that knows more than me.

They only offer service discount on 2 lines now. Line 1 full price, Line 2 and 3 are discounted, Line 4 is back to normal rate.

It is an eSim. Do not erase it before auto unlock, otherwise it will never unlock. Auto unlock works fine when connected to WiFi after one year wait.
I had a Moto phone from Metro that was with esim activation, it was activated online but I didn't actually download metro eSIM to the phone. Will it get unlocked in a year?

forgive my stupidity but I know this is for Metro but can I just buy this and then cancel after one month and then use it on T-Mobile's Network?
I wanted to know the answer to this question too but no one with the knowledge answered yet. So, I asked ChatGPT and this is what it said:
-------------------
🔓 2️⃣ Unlocking & network restriction
  • Metro by T-Mobile locks the phone to their network for 12 months.
  • During that time, the phone can only use T-Mobile-network SIMs, including Metro and T-Mobile itself.
Good news:
Because T-Mobile and Metro share the same network and SIM compatibility, your T-Mobile pSIM will work fine right awayno unlock required.
You'll still be locked to the T-Mobile network (so no AT&T, Verizon, etc.), but for your own T-Mobile pSIM, it's totally okay.
------------------
My phone is estimated to arrive Thursday (although I selected free 2-3 delivery). I will see if it will work. It would be great if works like ChatGPT said. If not, I will have to wait 2 months to unlock the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 from Total Wireless. I just need a newer phone to upgrade from my old iPhone 7 Yes, there are still people with older phone. In fact, I saw someone at the farmer market yesterday with an even older phone than mine. I couldn't believe my eyes that someone still used an iPhone even older than mine.
From my experience T-mobile and Metro phones are interchangeable on the same network unless they're unlocked. There have been a few exceptions like the S23FE I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...
Be careful with ChatGPT because I asked something similar and they gave me a totally different answer.

I don't get it - so, after 1 month of service I simply not pay them and wait another 11 months to unlock? Will it unlock automatically or will I need to call/write them?
my past purchases have unlocked by themselves.

With # port you can get iPhone 14 for $99 from Metro. It may be a better update because you do not have to leave Apple OS.

Metro traditionally requires you to make a call and/or texts on their network for it to count as active and to qualify for unlock after a period of time. That was when most phones came with a physical sim. But a lot of phones are e-sim activated now so that's a good question
