Just a heads up. When entering personal info on order, do not capitalize your first or last name. I read about this from another thread and it seems to work at keeping their security system from raising false security flags. Also used chrome incognito and VPN. Order went thru without a hitch.

I want to remind everyone that there is no need to port in a number for this deal. Slickdeals staff replaced my original post with their own that states a port is required. SD staff is wrong on this.

Probably because availability comes and goes like the wind. SD staff probably gets tired of bringing it back to life. The discount price is still showing on Metro's site so until they change that, then there's a real possibility it will be back in stock again.

Got email from T-Mobile USA saying my phone is shipped. There is an option to activate my number. Should I do that now or wait until my phone arrives? ETA Thursday 10/16.

I don't think the Metro stores will honor the same online price. Your best bet is to wait for it to be back in stock.

Yes, it unlocks one year after the activation, so activate it and let it sleep. Do not erase the eSim, otherwise it will never unlock. After it unlocks, you can erase it if you want.
