I've had mine since launch. One of the best products Apple has ever made. Dual oled screens are so good and pretty bright. Doubt m5 would offer any other material benefits for most.

Tandem OLED. "Tandem OLED is essentially two layers of OLED pixels layered on top of each other to create one consistent screen."

The "tandem OLED" screen uses essentially two stacked emission layers, so the combination can produce pretty excellent HDR brightnesses if both are cranked up, and reduce burn-in potential at lower brightnesses as each only has to work approximately half as hard. Unlikely lol. You can't even find a m1 ipad 11 inch in like new condition for under 500. And that iPad is 4 years old @ this point.

I have a 12.9 m2 256 wish I waited for the OLED screen. Picked up a galaxy tab s10+ 256 and the oled screen is nice. Makes a difference.

Faster processor and 12gb of ram. Does it matter to most users today? Probably not. Would it matter to many users 2 years from now, likely. So the difference you pay in price is for that longevity
