I've been really happy with their 12V line. Not as robust as my dewalt stuff but has never failed to get a job done.

Floor & Decor has been dwindling their Skil tools and batteries from what I can tell, decent deals to be had if you can pick up.

Skil's lineup is pretty good, made by the same parent company as Kobalt/Flex/Ego. While not a chart topper for seeing which brand can drive 30 half-inch screws into oakwood the fastest for youtube videos it's going to serve the average person just fine for hanging photos, tvs, building a shed, etc.
