Are you saying we'd better off waiting a bit longer? Or is it the best we could get with the inflation?

It's always hard to know what's coming up, but as a reference, this tool is often in the Home Depot daily deals packaged with 2 x 6Ah and a charger for $279. Those deals are usually 'Popular' or 'Frontpage'. Based on that pricing I would put this as a comparable deal (since $129 would be a good price for the batteries and charger, but often people don't need the extra batteries). The 3/8 version was on sale at HD a couple of weeks ago for $219 with a 5Ah which was also 'Popular'. I would put that deal slightly worse than this one. Therefore, I would classify this as a decent deal, especially if you don't need extra batteries, but not a doorbuster.

Seconded. 'Mid-torque' is MORE than enough for all automotive work, including suspension. I've been a master certified mechanic and wrenching all my life (gearhead now, not a mechanic), and I absolutely love this tool.

Isn't the latest M12 stubby almost as good as this while being smaller?

For reference: I got the m12 stubby 1/2" for $130 on a hack attack earlier this year. Homey Depot will def cock block you if you do too many hack attacks though.

Would highly recommend considering the stubby 3/8 or 1/2 over this unless you're heavily invested in the M18 lineup. For the majority of DIY, the stubby will be more than enough and is much smaller, so you can use it more easily without extensions, etc.
