Not sure why the thumbs down. I see deals on AAA all the time and this is the first AA deal I have seen in a while. The 8 pack is AA is normally $30.

Yes, I own the Amazon Basics ones they are junk, My 20+ year old eneloops hold more of a charge than the amazon ones. At one point the Amazon basics ones were likely rebadged eneloops... that is no longer true, new ones are junk.

Yes, work great with my xbox controller. I'm sure you understand these are rechargable batteries and need a charger.
I'm the author and received my batteries today. Definitely real eneloops and the price is lower than I have seen in years.

Probably because of the like 1 hour that the 12 pack was on sale the other day was cheaper per unit. If I didn't manage to snag that I'd be buying a couple of these for sure. Like you I hadn't seen AA in forever just AAA deals.

Yes, lower than in years...but the price that these used to be a "SlickDeal" used to be in the ~$2 per battery range.

$2 per battery is still the price I'm looking for - that price point occasionally comes up.

Luckily for me, I've got more than enough Eneloops to last me as I have been an Eneloop user for 10+ years...

And to the poster who asked about Game Controllers, yes, get these - you'll thank-me later! My eneloops lasted through two kids growing up w/various game consoles over the years - get them their own set of batteries and a charger and you'll never hear them ask again for batteries.

Thank you for that info, I swear it was cheaper per unit last week but more cells, so I didn't get it.

$2 or less is a good price for these. Do a forum search for recent eneloop deals. Some of us paid way less when the Fujitsu deals were going on.
