Not sure I want to pay over $130 more dollars for new ones on sale just for that feature since I'll just be using them at home.
If you decide to return it was easy to do at the best buy store, so at least that worked.

Looks like I got lucky. No more error on my iPhone Find My app either. The previous owner must have released them from their account just now.
