The Acer comes with built in speakers if that's a deciding factor. The monitor stand is a little on the flimsy side for this unit, and the Dell wins there, but if you use VESA mounts like me it doesn't make a difference.
For reference I was able to get the Dell on sale at $135. Also see the RTINGS review: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...kvbmiiprzx

Where are you able to still get the G2724D? I've only seen the newer G2725D available recently, and that model got considerably worse reviews. Even searching for the newer model now, it doesn't appear to be available anymore either.

When I saw that deal, it was around the time our company needed to upgrade everyone's monitors. I believe I ordered around 120, and a few of the last ones never got processed. I haven't seen them for sale anywhere since then, so that bulk purchase likely cleared out the last of their stock, also according to the sales rep. We're in need of several dozen more to finish upgrading everyone, but I'm not interested in the "upgraded" Dell model, so I've been considering alternatives. The model from this deal is near the top of my list because of how consistent the sale price is, which is at our ideal price point. I chose the Acer Nitro VG271U ($160) over this one to try first and am currently testing. Other than these two by Acer, the only name brand monitors that I've seen sometimes around this price have been GIGABYTE. *Not counting MSI due to my opinion and experience of the lower cost ones being mediocre quality.

I'm daily driving the Dell and I'm very satisified with it. Dell really should've kept it in production.
