These $50+ Anker "charging stations" (and there are several) appear to just be ridiculously overpriced power strips. I can't imagine when they would come in handy day-to-day, unless you needed to quickly test the power draw on electronics without any specialized equipment.

Am I missing something?

Good for a home with multiple people, great for fast charging kids phones while eating

Mmm, gotcha, that makes sense. If you've regularly got a bunch of devices to charge at a mixed-use table, gaving an old-school power strip with multiple blocks would look pretty janky. The screen still seems excessive, but having some feedback would be nice when you're urgently charging something.

They charge fast and deliver promised high watts on each port. The screen is definitely a bonus ( and a gimmick too ). Good quality product. You get what you pay for.
