Be sure to check the holes in the center tube are actually open. I'm at 50% rate of the holes not being opened up properly in the center tube. For this price I took a gamble on 6, but I stopped buying these a while back because the quality control is awful. If you want to know more and what a good filter is you can check out Bob is the oil guy.

I'm also looking for these like you mention, but it's currently showing $8.60/ea for the 14610 PureONE (sold by CROSSFILTERS) while the "Sold by Amazon.com" lists as $10.83, so maybe I missed it 😩

Been using Purolator One for nearly 20 years, have never experienced what you mentioned.
