Ok I bit, thanks OP. Just wanted a HEPA for the bedroom and this is almost the price of a DIY box fan with filter changes every 3 months.
Edit: looks like a 1 yr filter is $37 on A, + there's the carbon filters.

I've not found one of these small floor units with HEPA that actually clean the air. I've tried a few and dust still falls on any horizontal surface. Certainly, if these were actually cleaning the rooms air, the dust would get trapped in the HEPA filter. It certainly cleans some of the air, but is that what they're selling?
