Where are the Dreo deals? What made you switch?

I have a cheaper/smaller version of this fan advertised as a "personal desk fan" and it rules. Wish the controls were on the front but when I come in from yard work in the middle of the summer it is my best friend.

I don't know any deals. But Dreo tend to be more powerful for the same size and more quiet.

How does this compare the classic Honeywell fan? Still $15 from Walmart. I've had that since college and it's always been very effective,

I'm happy with my Dreo too, except when it comes to concern about the warranty--Vornado's is five years for most products, and Dreo's is a year, and limited at that.

Dreo's were a good price the middle of the summer, but at this price, I'd totally get a Vornado.

Vornado fan: 5 year warranty
Dreo fan: 1 year warranty

I'm sure Dreo is fine. But my Vornado fans have been good as well.

photo shows a remote but there is NO REMOTE!

morningsave.com had the same sale where they actually advertised it in the description as having a remote and pulled a bait and switch after shipping the products. only to send an unapologetic email basically saying "oh btw sorry there's actually no remote, here's a $6 coupon for your next order"

I've never broken a fan so warranties are the least of my priorities when I buy a fan.

5 year versus 1 year warranty is a BIG testimonial into the quality of the product they know the have created.

vornado has been around for much much longer than dreo and they are strictly focused on pushing air and durability. they are pretty much industrial fans.

dreo on the other hand is going for engineering fans that can also push air while also being much quieter and consume a lot less electricity (dc motor). adding a boatload of smart features and customization plus modern design (touch sensitive controls, lcd screen) and you end up with a fan with much more complication and points of failure than a vornado fan.

if you just need a fan that pushes air and you know will keep pushing air (with some nice retro look) go with vornado.

if you want a fan with not as much durability but is more efficient, quieter, has its own thermostat, you can integrate with your smart home and much more control over, pick a dreo.

also, the best value for dreo fans start at over $100, that's when you get all the features that they're great at (dc motor, smart controls, etc). at $30, you'd probably get an ac motor fan with no smart controls and looks just like a regular fan. you're basically getting a vornado without the warranty and durability.

I'm down south and I have to take breaks or I'll die. It's insanely hot here. I don't know how the grass puts up with it.

Then my move is to return on their dime, or charge them back if they won't cooperate. But maybe you are still happy with the value without a remote.
