I just picked an open boxed one up in "good" condition. It looks immaculate to my eyes after I wiped a greasy smudge from the outer part of the lid. So far Im super impressed, love the typing experience, browsing is snappy and the OLED is nice. Might be the best deal Ive ever had on a laptop (I usually pay north of 2.5K for an XPS or HP Spectre

How is the battery life under heavy load? Curious for light gaming like FTL: Faster than Light

At 5months my keyboard broke. Now at 7 months the touchscreen is undetectable. I don't know if there's a computer company that provides service, but I'll shop around next time. Haven't had a bad experience with LG or HP yet.

Picked one of these up for similar price a few months ago. Great specs for the price and mine looked brand new. The screen is gorgeous and good battery life. Not sure why there's so many refurbs of this unit.

Also dual boots fedora perfectly if you're into that.

Unfortunately nothing in my area. I have my radius as 100 miles for Los Angeles. I would have happily driven for this deal. Thanks for sharing anyways, hopefully one of y'all get lucky

I'm showing one in good condition in Anaheim, which is within your 100 mile driving radius. Good luck!

FYI - You dont get a full year warranty on open box. I confirmed this with their support, you only get 90 day warranty on open box

If you are lucky enough not to get the loop from BB to Asus back to BB back to Asus

I've been told basically every variant: 3 months, full manufacturer's, whatever is remaining...

What I've found to be the case with all 5+ open box laptops/gaming handhelds I've bought, is that if someone registered the device, it has the remainder. If they haven't registered, it's the full manufacturer's. From memory, I've had 4 with 10+ months remaining, and 1 device that wasn't registered so it had the full year in that case.
