Trust me they got this phone VERY CHEAP from Motorola. Don't ever rely on their MSRP number. Some people with a low IQ to say they are losing money because we are cheating. Nope they never lose money.

Lack of decent OS support from Moto cripples these phones compared to similar Samsung phones. Bought a couple of 2024 Edge which were great.

How is the OS and security updates support for 2023 Edge+?
Ends in 1 year and 7 months
(31 May 2027). Plus model lasts longer than non plus edge.

So, 2023 Edge+ and 2024 Edge both supported till May 2027.
Just received 2025 Moto Stylus earlier today free with the Total port-in promo with $30 plan. Will keep it for a couple of months to unlock. I see security updates available until March 2028.

I never got a chance to use the phone w/ the original firmware installed so I couldn't tell you. I'm actually a tech enthusiast and prefer to modify the Android devices I use as my daily driver: As soon as I got the phone, I network unlocked it and I stripped out the original firmware which requires unlocking the bootloader followed by installing a custom ROM (LineageOS 22) to replace the phone's OS then I ultimately rooted the phone in order to be granted root access (similar to how in Windows a user is granted "admin privileges"). I followed this guide [xdaforums.com] and was able to successfully do everything I described above and much, much more.

I have it, it is fast and snappy. Almost as speedy as my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Can you check if Moto edge 2025 camera has long exposure/star trail model? (I am not talking about pro mode for 30 or 60 sec exposure. I am talking about a special long exposure mode for light painting, star trail etc). Thanks.

Edge was made for speed, has faster CPU, double the storage and more RAM. If you only care about speed, go for the Edge. Go with the Stylus if you really need to use the stylus. I barely use it so I go for the Edge.
Edge ain't no speed demon.lol

It was only network unlocked through Boost which I have since unlocked to be compatible w/ any service provider; the bootloader was capable of being unlocked via Motorola's web portal.

Can I use the SIM on another unlocked phone? Will it erase unlocked eligibility?

Tempted to jump on this deal, but thinking the price might go lower as we approach Black Friday/holidays... Hopefully goes to free, with just the two months of service required...
Any folks recommend a case? Screen protector will be tough with the curved edges...

Is this Moto crippled for T-mobile 5G (after unlocked)? I had a TW Samsung a35 and after unlocked it could not reliably connect to 5G on T-Mobile. TW 5G was fine. Does the model number end in "V"?
As an aside, I was able to get the missing T-Mobile bands on my a36 using a xda guide and flashing the Samsung stock firmware

How is the OS and security updates support for 2023 Edge+?
Meh. Lineage brings Android 16 to it with weekly updates, stock moto firmware is always buggy and takes forever to arrive.

2023+ is definitely superior to the 2024 and 25 Edge, with 8Gen2. I charge every 3-4 days. Usually minimum of 14 hours screen time from full charge.
