My spoiler-free experience on "The Walking Dead" TV series:

Seasons 1 and 2 are the best in the series. Great pacing + excellent script. The acting was top-notch!!!
Season 3 is very good, not great.
Season 4 is when things start to fade, and you start hating some of the characters and where they're going.
Season 5-6 are when you start questioning yourself, if you should continue watching.
Season 7, episode 1 - most violent and brutal episode. Brace yourself! The season is a love/hate.
Season 8-10 "Why am I still watching this horrible series?"
Season 11 - "I might as well finish this awful series, because I'm a glutton for punishment."

First 2, maybe 3 seasons are excellent. Starts to get very repetitive in the next several seasons. Picks up and gets interesting again around season 9-ish. Finishes off decently but it definitely wore out its welcome.

It was the best show in the beginning and I loved it. Then it felt like a cash grab. You have a wildly successful and profitable TV show, I'm guessing...just keep making episodes, story be damned. Seemed to just turn into running into another group of people over and over and it never ends well.

What a shame. Started off great. I think I stopped watching around mid-season 3.
Westworld was similar. Season 1 was a banger. Season 2 was barely watchable and the rest was trash.
