I would hazard to guess that MSI uses better components, but you never can tell with prebuilts, they often put bottom of the barrel parts in them.
But the third one was rock soolid and lasted 4 years. It only died because I killed it, basically. It used to run pretty hot (CPU 85-90C) and I figured I'd just reapply CPU grease to it but in getting the AIO off I basically broke the CPU socket on the motherboard and bent the pins because it was like cement and I tried to twist it off.
It's still sitting in my living room and I honestly don't know what to do with it. I'm over building PCs. A cheap CPU/mboard/RAM combo might be $300-400 and it seems like a rebuild would probably cost $200+. May as well just buy a new PC at that point. Still, seems like a waste. Not sure what the point of this is. It just bothers me.
Anyway, the one thing I wanted to say is one can never rely on anyone's anecodtes (even their own) about a given company. You see this online all the time. "I'm never flying [Delta, United, American] again! Because of X" Everyone's experiences vary. So do they have cheap or bad wiring or whatever? No idea. A single good or bad experience doesn't answer that question, which is my point.
I have a custom built from them since Xmas 2022. No complaints.
