The Quinn 1/2 impacts are cr-mo vs Pittsburgh cr-v. The Quinn come in a convenient case. You can get the Quinn if you are inside track for $15 whenever they put them on the parking lot sale. I don't see the point of getting this set vs the Quinn unless you need this urgently.

I have the made in Taiwan deep socket set since early 2000s. Both are bomb proof with 97% approval. Vanadium is a touch heavier...more momentum for impact work. Most pros keep their sockets on a magnet bar for faster access. No need to pay 26% more for better finish.

Need to add "set" to the title. Makes it sound like you're only getting one socket.

Vanadium is terrible for impact sockets. They are too brittle so they crack. The Quinn's are worth any difference in cost.

Proper heat treatment and thicker wall works well for Vanadium! Take 101 material science class before you spread inaccurate information. 1101 reviews. Zero complaint about cracked socket.

Same warranty on both hand tools right so...doesn't really matter too much about going with Pittsburgh or Quinn other than personal preference?

Absolutely...lifetime warranty. I keep the plastic top label for easier identification/exchange at the store. Have the deep socket set for almost 15 years. Still waiting for something to break. The 32 mm is big and heavy. Can never have too much momentum when working with impact tool.

I see a few complains about tight fitting socket. This is by design to avoid power loss from the impact gun to the fastener.
