Playing Horizon Forbidden West at 1440P on a RTX 2070 Super. Near max settings except for the couple that require more VRAM. Pretty certain you're just plain wrong.

No that's not true. This is the card to get for people with 1440p monitor. I have this exact same card and I'm running every game at 100+ fps on max setting.
100+ fps is dog poop these days

Disagree. Im currently running a Ryzen 5 3700x with a 3070. Battlefield 6 only started running well after I went through a half dozen YouTube guides to turn every setting to low. So if you're fine playing on the extreme low settings then yes. If you want to play on any other settings no.
BF6 is a cpu-intensive game and a 3700X is going to pegged with most recent GPU releases at 1440p to begin with. Techpowerup highlighted how 1440p overkill uses over 14GB of VRAM. And that's with how optimized the game. Something we can't take for granted in today's modern game development.

Yeah I just bought a used 5900x on eBay. I'm getting like 70-80fps now. I'm hoping I get a 10% buff in frames. If not I'll get a 5070ti. And if I'm not getting around 100fps, I just buy a whole new computer

If you play mainly esport titles then 5070 if not then the extra money for the 9070 xt is worth it imo
