Nothing wrong with going full lead-free out of an abundance of caution or concern for the people manufacturing the bottles, but I would be very surprised if anything sold in the US has lead in the parts of the bottle that actually touch the water during normal use. As always, clean all new food-touching devices with soap and water to remove any residual traces from the manufacturing/shipping process.
