This is where this guitar should have always been. Friggin Epiphone inflated prices.

On that note, I owned the Gibson version of this and I'd argue this is better guitar at a cheaper price.

This is a great deal at this price.

$1,200 for a chinese epiphone is an absolutely wild price. No wonder it's half off.

I had this guitar with a different print on the back. It sounded great. Played great. Fit and finish were excellent. Who cares where a guitar is made? I certainly don't. Eastman is a Chinese made brand that makes guitars that rival the best American made guitars. They're more expensive than this, but much cheaper than Gibson. This is a smoking deal.

It's one of 7 in an art series. This particular one is a piece of art made by his wife, Korin Faught. Also, probably the least popular in the series. Nobody sees the back of your guitar anyway.

I mean if you like art on guitar I guess. Epiphones in general are decent guitars for the price and they are very easy to mod.

Yup I got one of these when they came out at the full price. The guitar is top notch. The build quality is truly impressive considering it's made in china. And the guitar absolutely screams.

This is quite the deal for a guitar of this quality. Might just get another just because lol.

For only just playing, I do think the MSRP on these was high vs. other IGC Epis you can get for the same price or cheaper (may need to hit Reverb or Marketplace if you don't catch one on sale and your Sweetwater rep can't make you a deal). If you are a Tool and/or AJ fan though, then this made to spec Epi is probably worth the MSRP to you... take $500 off of that and it is definitely a slick deal, even for a nonAJ player. Aside from the instrument, you also get a nice chainsaw case that is worth probably around $200? I did read a few reviews of the Art guitars with quality issues, but most of what I read were happy with the guitar itself as well as the quality. These are from the new and improved Epi lineups.

I got the Gibson AJ LP Standard not long after that one came out($300 less than MSRP when they were selling for around $500 over at $3500, I posted the deal here), I "won" the first of seven of these (Veil of Bees) right after the second one (Berzerker) was released (when they were selling out almost instantly at MSRP and were selling at flip prices of a few hundred more than MSRP), and I got the nonArt Epi Les Paul Custom Adam Jones off of Reverb basically new except the first owner had installed the drop in locking Schallers M6 135s, paid $1100 for everything ($400 off of MSRP, which was a decent deal then, but they can be had cheaper now).

I love the standard for the smell and the feel, the over all finish plus nitro of a Gibson LP is magical, at least to me. I also do appreciate Gibson's high distortion bridge pickup, they did a good job! It isn't a DDJ, but it can do the AJ tones, and it can also do some pretty metal sounds of it's own.

The VoB AJ LPC (same specs, different art than this deal) is fine to play as well, has the real Duncan Distortion bridge p/u, but went with a cheaper EPi Probucker in the neck. The neck p/u is a coupla hundred cheaper than an authentic Gibson Custombucker, but I don't think it matters for a casual player (at least not one like me). The things I don't like are stupid from a player's perspective, but can be important to a collector/wall hanger. The poly finish is boring (to me), and I don't like the plastic Epi block inlays AT ALL, they look cheap imho, I would rather have no inlays at all, the ebony is nice but the cheap plastic ruins it imho. Great playing guitar though! The chainsaw style case is a bonus, they are really nice imho, worth at least a couple hundred by themselves.

My fav of the three is the nonArt Epi AJ LPC though... real Gibson Custombucker in the neck along with the Duncan Distortion in the bridge, real MOP inlays (not Gibson Custom quality MOP, but nice) and gibson open book headstock, and fit and finish is excellent! It feels, plays, and sounds great! If only it was a nitro finish, then it would be perfect. I have considered seeing if I could strip the poly and then nitro finish it myself, but I would most certainly screw it up. Ah well.

Ideally I would only need one if I could score one of the VOS Gibson LP Custom AJs, but those are still over $10k, NFW can I drop that kind of $ on a guitar. The Epi nonArt AJ LPC is as close as a poor person can get to that guitar specs wise, and one of these art guitars are pretty close to that one aside from the neck p/u and different inlays and headstock. It is pretty awesome that they have options in every price category for the AJ fans out there!
