For me (owned and loved a P1S for almost 2 years, best "tool" purchase in decades for me) the biggest improvements are 1) P2S comes with hardened nozzles and extruder, no need to upgrade 2) Nozzles are much easier to swap, and 3) from what I understand, it's fairly quick to heat-soak the chamber to 50C or so, which his great if you print a lot of ABS/ASA. The new touch screen is also a plus, although for me not a big deal. I think it's got better cameras and some AI failure detection.

The P2S was supposed to be $549 at launch based on Tom's Hardware but now it's all up in the air thanks to the genius in chief.

Just wait for the P2S. It's worth far more than an extra $100.

The P2S just got announced so the P1S is on sale with an extra discount. You can clip an extra $100 off coupon or use code "3DPP1S " on the product page to bring it down to $449. Pretty great price for an amazing printer.

I just ordered I've been watching the P1S forever and I don't own a printer. I don't think you can go wrong for $449 and free shipping

This is one of the best printers out there still. If you choose to get this, you won't be disappointed as it's a complete workhorse. If you've ever seen your father's 3D printers, this is the next evolution of it. And yes, they did just release the P2S, and that is very impressive, but guaranteed to cost a couple of hundred more. Happy printing.

Getting this when the P2S is a $100 more is crazy. At this price just get the Qidi Q2 which is better in every single way. Also most manufacturers, Qidi included, really stepped up their QA\QC game, and Bambu no longer has the edge there like they used to, years ago.
Years ago or like, year ago? Haha. Max of two but this is still a pretty good deal on a damn good printer with parts available everywhere, a huge community and easiest use I've found out of the box

Wait for the P2S. P2S is essentially a X1C at a much lower cost.

Multiple sources are saying it starts at $549 (with no AMS).

P1S is a good deal for a good/reliable basic CoreXY because almost all the bugs should have been fixed by now, since its debut a few years back.

If it $700 for P2S, it is kinda hard to swallow for whatever reason.

If you plan to add a multicolor filament system. Might as well spend a little extra for a Snapmaker U1 3D Printer + top cover $1000 pre-order. It is still an early adoption, so expect bugs in the software https://us.snapmaker.com/products...3d-printer

If you want a cheap CoreXY Multicolor filament printer, get the Flashforge AD5X w/enclosure $413. It is still a new release, stable, print quality about the same as Bambu, but some bugs are still present in the software slice.
