Only $12.95 with 15%SS.
That regular price of $29.94 is outrageous. No way an 8.8oz processed container of grains and beans is worth $5. Worst, much of that 8.8oz is liquid. The first two ingredients are Water and Vinaigrette. That makes it more like stew or soup than a main dish. On the plus side, the vinaigrette is in a separate pouch so you can control the spiciness.
The fiber contents is amazing and 12g of protein is decent for a vegan meal. Some complain that there should be more protein, e.g. tofu. The product only gets a 3.9 rating but that's inaccurate. Amazon's stupid rating system combines all the Tasty Bites. For example, the 3.9 includes their Thai and North Korean bowls so it's hard to see how these Indian Protein ones taste.
Anyway, there's no way I'd pay $5 for 8.8oz of a grain and bean stew. But for $2.16, they might be worth a try. Especially as a base for other ingredients like tofu and yes, meat. Most people are eating this over rice but serving it over drained ramen or even pasta should be interesting too.
