Roku and Fire TVs are considered low end TVs generally imo. The Roku Pro series I believe is the best rated of them, but I am no expert. It all depends on the size, your need and your budget. See rtings.com for tv reviews and ratings. Low end Tvs are fine for what they are generally, esp. if you are going to put them in a spare or guest room\they are not your primary TV or you are on a limited budget imo. If you can afford it, you are generally better off getting a mid-tier or better Samsung, Panasonic or Sony QLED or OLED imo.
My 2 cents.
For what it's worth, I have a 58" Samsung TV in the living room. The built-in streaming is okay but still feels underpowered compared to an Apple TV. The TV itself is great and no issues so far. If you really just want to use the interface built into the TV, I do like Roku. I have a relative in her 90's who uses a Roku. She needs some help getting logged into the apps but afterwards she's fine.

Personally, get the best TV you can buy for your budget and get an Apple TV for your streaming. The built-in streaming on TVs is slow and hard to navigate. So what I do is buy the cheapest TV with good reviews and it doesn't matter what the interface is because I use an Apple TV. I did the same for my mom who is older but she also has an iPad and iPhone so she's used to the Apple interface.<br />

I would say go with Ruku. The remote is easier and layout is easier for my mom who is 84 Ruku seems to be more intuitive.
