I love to rewatch Bourdain's shows and remind myself to go out and try new things and travel and meet new people. There is so much to take in from his body of work with regard to human interaction. Life is short, we gotta get out there and participate together and grow and listen. There's a lot of joy and love and good food and culture waiting to be ingested.

is this in 4k on apple? (my iphone isn't charged)

edit: 2 years ago it was $9.99 on itunes. I pulled the trigger on $20 since I had gift card balance. Shame the bundle for No Reservations is $139

It's listed as HDX, which is 1080p.

For TV series I actually like Fandango more than Apple. Apple doesn't group the shows into seasons, which is OK for a shorter run series but when it's 100+ episodes that's a lot of scrolling to get to a later episode. I guess if you search for it in the Apple TV app it will group them by season but it doesn't do that under library. Fandango sorts them into seasons.

It lists it as 4K UHD if it's 4K.

I've never been able to get either major series on disc. Now all you can find are various discs put out with less episodes and confusing case info. Very frustrating. Even the torrent downloads are missing episodes and have various issues. Not sure if the first seasons of travel channel had the right camera sensors for 4K disc release or even blu ray.

HDX is just slightly nicer 1080p than their plain HD was. Here's an explainer [diffen.com].

This is the only good thing CNN has broadcasted in the last 20 years.

I agree, I watched some of his shows using Amazon Prime Live TV. I'm not sure if they're the same adds, but I found myself hitting mute a lot, or temporarily skipping to a different channel...a lot. He made good food/travel shows, better than most.

Terrible series and many vloggers on Youtube today embarrass him. It was basically a show for him to get paid while hanging out with his friends. He was incredibly lazy and pretentious. If he had to compete today with any of those vloggers, he would have to find a different line of work.
