this impact has been at this price at clark's tools for months. they also have the 3/8" version. they change shipping for orders under under $400, but they don't charge sales tax to 40+ states.

Make sure you want a pin detent before ordering. They're typically only using a single socket because it's so hard to change sockets.

you dont need to engage pin if you want to change sockets often easily.

I remember when the deal was posted a couple months back with batteries. I made a comment that I was waiting for the new one to come out. Someone replied this was the new one. So without actually checking I bought this one. This is not the new one. There is a new sub compact stubby that is even smaller than this one. Small is important if you use this to work on vehicles.
