I have these and bought refurbished as well. They were basically brand new and they sound FANTASTIC. I thought the Sundara's sounded good and the XS sound much more open and detailed. Love them, although I don't tend to use them for FPS gaming (for immersive games they are amazing). Mainly because I was tired of finding a mic solution for a wired headset

Also, believe some audiophile sites have had this as a top value pick under 500$ (I believe headphones dot com)

Awesome price. I paid more a year or two ago. I think this is the lowest I've seen for the edition xs. They're fairly bulky but the sound is insane.

This is the lowest Refurbished price?

I love my refurbished Hifiman Sundara set, not sure if these are an upgrade?

I'm still waiting on the new one I ordered on prime day for $209 to ship.

Anybody use these who has also used a pair of stax? My stax l-600 failed and with current tarrifs I'm not really wanting to spend $600 replacing them. But they are my favorite headphones by far

Mine were refurb and cost more. This is also lower than the recent $209 refurb price that was still less than what I paid.

I know right? frustrating. I am tempted to cancel and buy the refurb but suspect it would take even longer LOL

I decided to cancel my amazon order. There's no tax if ordering from the hifiman store so the price difference was almost $50. I looked up some reviews on refurbs from them and they generally seem to be like new.

This is it folks. Arguably the best headphones around the $200 mark.
I'd also recommend getting the Capra audio headstrap with these, and then you're all set.

yeah the mic situation with good headsets is too much work lol Only a 2 decent options unless you go standalone actual microphone, and one of those is greatly overpriced. And the only good planar magnetic headphone that comes with a mic is the Audeze LCD-GX and they are $900 😳
Audeze also makes the Maxwells that are $300 but have read bad reviews on those, and they are closed, where the LCD-GX are open back.

Pardon my ignorance, what's stopping us from using an inline mic option like this [amazon.com] one? Would it degrade the audio quality / performance?

I'm leaning towards pairing this with a decent DAC/AMP (FiiO BTR13 [aliexpress.us]). Coincidentally, it has bluetooth and built in mic. Anyone have any experience with this type of set up?
