Seems to good to be true. Don't want to deal with getting junk and having to fight to get a refund. That or my house burning down from it.

What is going on is that China has a glut of these. That does not equate to a scam but prices on some bikes 50% or more off what they were just a short while ago. You can buy the same on amazon or walmart but it will be more.

This looks like the GLeeride A9 i just bought (and has been available on Ali via SD for $250 shipped) but a smaller motor and 1/2 the size of battery. I think you might get max 10 miles out of this one, so beware.

China has a glut of labor and raw materials. They can and do build good things very cheap. I surmise that the $300 Chinese made Dewalt drill only cost Dewalt $50 or maybe less.

China stuffs are cheap not (at least mostly not) because of their labor. It's the manufacturing industry being so powerful (I.e. the machines and automation) and the transportation and supply chain being so advanced (infrastructure).

1. I have some business ordering stuff from Shenzhen. America made stuff is run by high school graduates or veterans who has no idea what we are asking for nor can remotely meet our qualifications and want $100 per hour. Our Chinese partners are full of Ivy League level engineers same for $100/hr that produce best solutions in the entire world.

2. My ordering of 1000 pieces of equipments are manufactured in Shenzhen and processed in Shanghai within 2 days including transportation. Almost same distance from shore to shore. American truckers can't even deliver anything from Elpaso to Houston within that time frame.

3. China doesn't have much resources. They import the majority of them and manufacture and export.

4. Electric stuff is a "stand out" that China really leads the world by a large margin. I as in the industry trust literally any random Chinese car more than Toyota. Any $10k new cars in China beat these $50k shit boxes we buy here by a large margin on quality, longevity, comfort, and everything. The best selling Toyota rav4 is just a joke in China's market.

$300 drill probably is designed in the US and need to cover the cost. Usually our business can get same quality stuff from China for about 7 times difference (basically $1=1 rmb)

Or maybe you have been ripped off for too long.Take a look at the American vehicle market and you know what I mean. The second largest car market in the world with totally junk cars and ridiculous price. Yet people think it's ok to get a freaking joke low quality EV for $35k and the government is happy to offer another $7k to the business. And everyone kept buying trash gas vehicles that doesn't have any reliability or longevity by physics when compared with EVs.In China, the largest and fully competitive car market in the world, your $10k can get you a car on par with Tesla Model Y on comfort and range and tech with much better reliability, quality and build. You spend another $5k every 10 years to replace batteries and it will run 100 years no problem at all. Yet American consumers are happy to purchase either a joke $26k corolla or a $40k model 3 that might will last 10 years and think they have the best reliability in the world. Lmao

Thanks for that in depth and it points to another failing in America which is our educational system. I see what you see and it saddens and terrifies me as an American.

Absolutely flabbergasts me the typical American that we to much on here who will go to Costco buy their china made Samsung washer or just about anything and feel totally safe. Same with just about everything sold by Target, Macys Amazon or any retailer. Yet with something as basic as a bike or flashlight they get all paranoid if the see Aliexpress and assume China can make nothing of quality, even sometime as basic as bike, flashlight pocket knife or a refrigerator magnet.

They just do not see what you describe and think of China as it it was the China of sixty years ago and not the one that will likely beat us to Mars and if we are not careful will play second, third or fourth fiddle to. People just do not realize the massive gains China has made while Americans sit back and accept decline and much of our nation looks third world when compared to China.

Funny you mention the not being able to get workers thing. I'm in home improvement and knew a guy in management at Alsides which manufactures siding and other building materials. They wanted to open a manufacturing plant in my state and studied the possibility. They decided to nix the plan when they realized that they would not be able to get a hard working, educated and productive workforce.

I've owned 3 ebikes, my current one is a Juiced Ripcurrent 1250 peak 54v battery 20ah. This bike will eat anything I throw at it and I get around 90 to 100 miles per charge. This is a very small and weak bike. 150lb or less would be the max weight I would put on it. For the price, it can serve a few purposes, like tooling around flat areas, but not a workout bike, more of a sight seeing bike. I would consider this for Teens over adults. You would probably get 15 max miles out of the battery. It might strugle on larger hills.

You could buy 10 of these bikes for what it looks like your paying. The cheapest e-bikes I've ever rode in mexico had torque assist that seems ideal to raise and lower the intensity of a bike workout. The bike in this sale wouldn't have that basic feature?
