I like the idea, but it seems like this covers up some of what you're trying to read.

No, you can put it in the margin where it isn't covering any text. These work pretty well in my experience.

This would be a perfect companion to one of those Wall-E hover chairs. You'd never have to move a muscle ever again!

My thoughts exactly.
*BTW: People have figured out their drinks were "Soylent Green"

Believe me... IF this item was for the disabled it would be 5X the price. There's a huge mark up with disability items.

I got one of these in a kit with a flex arm tablet holder. It's clamped to my headboard because I like to read at night .
Now I don't even have to hold the book up anymore and can keep my arms warm under the covers and still turn the pages.

In my defense, I won't do Grubhub or Doordash to my house. That's too Wall-E for me.

Excellent! The less movement the better!

For Android, I just use '3 for $5' Camera clickers to do page turning, combined with 'Switch Access' app config. It's a little tricky but basically I have it 'touch' my screen on the lower bottom right, which for nearly every reader app will hit the sweet spot of 'bottom of the screen page turn' or 'right side of screen page turn'. I read a lot of webnovels though, so I also use a TamperMonkey script on my mobile Firefox app, that draw an outline at the bottom of the screen that is only active for some websites, and let's me 'tap to page down' a full screen of text at a time, since there isn't an easy way to do page down accurately on mobile. I adjust the number of pixels I need to page down for each site, then clickety click click. My tamper monkey script also forces the backgrounds to pure white text on black for OLED screen power saving and eye saving for me.

I also use a pillow phone holder so my wrists don't fall off from the weight of the phone.

If you are reading a 3 million word webnovel on a phone screen, that is a lot of reaching and clicking.

I bought one for my kindle colorsoft. Not specifically this model, but something similar. There are too many generic brands for this. At least mine doesn't work well at all. Page turns were finicky. Would sometimes turn and sometimes not. If it not reelable it's useless.

I'm the end I bought the Kobo Libra Colour, and paired it with an 8BitDo Micro. Couldn't be happier. With KoReader installed I can use the remote to not only flip pages back and forth, I can change brightness, warmth, rotate screen, flip chapters, change font, turn on dark mode -- all using the remote. Couldn't be happier.

Let us guess, you're not exactly a big reader, are you?

We have a similar one and it works well, but can't comment on this specific brand. My wife uses it in bed but it has a ring vs a unit like this, it means she can stay under the covers rather than reaching out to turn the page. Yes, it seems a small thing but she was super happy with it and life is otherwise tough, right?

Lets be fair here, if you are using a clicker to replace a swipe over something that is 12 inches from your face, you have to expect and accept people to make fun of you for being lazy.

False. I understand why a non reader wouldn't understand a device like this, but in no sense is anyone buying this out of laziness. Anyone who regularly reads hundreds of pages of a book in a single sitting understands the usefulness of this device, even if it's not for them.
