Note the comment on Amazon that this is a "frequently returned item". I used to ignore that but lately it has held true. Now if I see that I expect the lowest of low quality. The edges of this rug probably flip up and I am sure it will never be the same after it is washed, like all of the rest of the washable rugs.

Literally right next to it, it says "due to display or color issues" and it's only on the "brown" rug that is in fact, basically not brown at all. A simple deduction that would have saved you all of the hypothetical and probably false narrative you made in your head.

Frequently returned because people don't know how to read. Probably were expecting 2 inch plush carpet.
