Why do they have to do it like this, making it such a chaotic situation for both customers and employees with the insane lines. Why can't they spread it out over a week or with a unique code to use whenever so people can place pick-up orders whenever is convenient?

Need an account. I didn't use the app last year, only web browser.

Dave's Hot Chicken's free slider is a solid, spicy chicken sandwich deal, but the main draw is the free food rather than the experience around it. The slider is described as tasty and about the size of a KFC chicken sandwich, and the regular menu is pricey enough that the promo feels especially valuable. The catch is the redemption process and crowds, with long lines, slow app access, and a reward that may need email verification or time to appear. It also seems limited to participating locations and may only work in the app, making it a convenience-sensitive offer.

  • The free slider can be redeemed in person using the app reward scan flow.

    Hizzy812E4300

  • The slider tastes good and the sandwich size matches common fast-food chicken sandwich portions.

    airbenderSantimusPrime

  • Online ordering and the app can reduce time for regular orders at Dave's Hot Chicken.

    Hizzy812Hizzy812

  • The redemption flow reportedly worked on Android for at least one attempt.

    ScarletWallaby1643

  • The promo can be app-only and may not appear when using a web browser.

    E4300JordanR1996

  • The app can be slow or fail login, including getting stuck on passcode verification.

    sbmasterHubbs1

  • Redeeming the free annual birthday sandwich may require a separate in-person line and can create long waits.

    Hizzy812loopydeals

  • The free slider may not be worth the trip when lines are long and gas costs add up.

I have one opening close to here soon. I'm excited to give it a try.
Promo shows up only in app this year. I don't see the free slider promo in the rewards section when using web browser. Scan code may have a time expiration per the app.

Great food but it's only valid at participating locations. Not valid at the one near my house.

Probably to avoid people making multiple accounts and ordering online.

Don't forget that tomorrow (10/24) is the Drake's birthday, so there should be a free chicken sandwich offer in the app then.

Promo is LIVE in S Cal now. I'm using IOS. Android can be problematic since some app many not be 100% functional with Google Play Services disabled (price you pay for a free OS).

I ordered at 11:16am EST and the line was already out the door. The restaurant was understaffed with only one person taking orders and packaging them.

The closest to me is 8 miles.
I love free things and deals, but for the cost of gas, that'd be $3 (roundtrip) for a free slider, as I'd have to go from the comfort of my home.
If the wait is ridiculous, that's losing more time in life also. I think I will need to pass on this one.
