So....do I like Wagos? Actually, yes. They're wicked awesome.

Do I trust Wagos? Sure, if they're from a trusted seller.

Is Amazon a trusted seller? Oh my dear goodness, no absolutely not. They commingle inventory -- you have a VERY strong likelihood of getting a counterfeit. Personally, I've gotten counterfeit toothbrushes, textbooks, and microSD memory cards. I've gotten "sold as NEW but arrived as USED" cabinet hinges, sheet protectors, and even underwear. Yeah. That was just as gross as you'd imagine.

If you get a counterfeit 110v mains electrical product, does that increase the risk of electrical fire? "Hey Computer, play song titled 'We actually DID start the fire.' Thanks!"

If I was messing around with some temporary 5v/12v arduino-esque project, sure -- these would be pretty cool. But I'd NEVER put them in a place where catastrophic failure could result in severe harm.

Where should I buy them, if not from scAmazon? Simple. Home Depot or a local electrical supply house.

FWIW, I purchased this same kit back in Jan 2025 for $20.95 (thanks for the reminder, Amazon). I have samples sent to me from Wago themselves and I can vouch that the "Peppy" parts that I received are 100% legitimate - even if it seems slightly sketchy.

On the other hand, I agree with LavenderPickle that you should be very wary of Amazon and any products that you ingest or wire up to mains voltage. However in this case, I think it is ok.

The kit itself is awesome, although I wish there were more inline connectors and fewer 5 terminal connectors. If you're on the fence about wire nuts vs. Wago, definitely give this a try. If you've ever worked over your head in a tight space or worked with a mix of solid and stranded wires, you'll be a believer as soon as you snap those levers down (and give the wire a good tug to be sure).

Those are sold by a third-party seller. They even have their name on the product packaging, so commingled inventory isn't an issue. They claim they're an official distributor, and have their own site while also selling on eBay and Walmart.

The O-OP's math must have been off...

$20.95 - $5.24 = $16.13. <- NOPE...

But my final price was $16.13...

In been reading and calling these things "WAYgo's" since I first heard about them years ago.
I just clicked on the video on the product page and the voiceover pronounced them "WAHgo's"

My opinion, these are safer than wire nuts for non-electricians. Most homeowners are terrible at making a good wire nut connection and they don't understand the fire-risk implication of not twisting enough, having the wrong amount of jacket stripped, the importance of following fill guidelines, the nuances of joining stranded to solid... They just jam whatever nut they have around on, give it a light tug and cram that fire risk into their walls. These on the other hand are idiot proof.

A previous deal intro these to me. I will only use these and am throwing away my bags of my new wire nuts. Harbor Freight fakes are not the same BTW. There seem to be two reputable dealers on amazon for these this and another I forgot the name of I ordered from. I might be in for this but I only used a few 3 and dont use 4 or 5 connectors. Doing ceiling fans and vanity lights with these. Seems these are not co-mixed as says fulfilled by xxxxxx. So I am led to believe sent out by them directly so unless they partake in fake selling it isn't like buying batteries and memory sticks fake from amazon.

They are used in the UK and Europe more often than America.
So as long as you stay within guidelines of amperage and wire size, they ARE rated.... Up to 600v IIRC, They ALSO sell larger lever nuts meant for 10g wire and i don't remember if they upped the amperage rating for those or not, but as long as you size the nuts for the wire, you should be golden.

I love wagos. Use them for everything from quick test bench wiring, to home wiring, to automotive (if its inside the cab) to arduino, hell, I even used wagos to extend two pieces of speaker wire as I didn't have a longer piece of cable for a certain run in my garage and it works fine.

I love them.
