EcoFlow's DELTA 3 Ultra looks like a strong value for a single 3,072Wh power station, especially for camper, vanlife, and home backup use. The 120V, 30A TT30 output, 10ms cutover, and hi and low voltage solar input make it appealing for larger loads and solar setups, and the price compares well with older Delta 2 purchases. The main limits are the 800W solar cap, 60V input ceiling, and the non Plus model's lack of expansion battery ports. EcoFlow's confusing product pages and talk of future feature paywalls add some caution, but it still stands out as a compact all in one option.

  • The deal price works out to about 33 cents per watt-hour for the 3kWh all-in-one unit.

  • The unit supports hi and lo voltage solar input along with EV bypass options for flexible setups.

  • The solar input and inverter combination can suit camper use with a 120V 30A plug.

  • A coupon code can work on Amazon and stack with an additional 5% cash back from Prime Visa.

  • Solar input is limited to 11-60V and 800W max, which can make residential panel matching difficult.

  • The Ultra (non-plus) model reportedly cannot add expansion batteries, limiting whole-system growth.

  • EcoFlow's website experience can be unusable due to excessive pop-ups and ads, which can hinder research and purchasing.

  • Home backup compatibility can fail, since Home Connect and batteries reportedly required two power legs and still would not connect after adding a second battery.

don't stop there ... AND ...
Delta 3 plus
Delta 3 Ultra plus
Care, the ultra (non plus) can't add expansion batteries.
Don't forget the Delta 3 1500! Which not confusingly at all has the port layout of a Delta 2 despite the Delta 3 naming.

The webpage pics for the ULTRA non-plus shows the same rear as the Plus, with DUAL MPPT ports and battery expansion. Reviews state the non-ultra does not have these.

EF has the most spammy garbage website I've ever seen. Does anyone know where I can get more details on the 240v outlet and using this as backup power?

yes, ecoflow's site confused me at first too. the photos for the utra (non-plus) also shows an anderson port on the back, which i think the non-plus model doesn't have. so their photos are deceptive. 800w max solar input with only one mppt and such a low 60v limit is no good. doesn't work for my residential panels. neither could i easily get 1600w out of the ultra plus model either, which doubles the mppt.

ecoflow really dropped the ball on the solar input with limiting all these to 60v max, so i will have to pass unless the prices comes down a couple hundred more. if it had a 90v or 95v solar input i would be interested.

delta pro 3 is much more useful with a 150v max pv input, and 20a max on the 60v input (better for wiring two panels in parallel). with my paricular panels, i could come close to maxing out the 2600W solar limit, using a combo of series and parallel.

says plus (1599) alone can get a free solar panel, but not seeing it at checkout. Does anyone know how to get it? also says spend 2000+ get free solar, still not sure how to make the purchase.

Should already be bundled, so you won't see a add-on solar panel $0

Me personally I DO think that either BF of end of year prices will be even better. I think the OEM's think that with the tax incentive expiring at the end of the year the time to make hay is NOW. I think they wound rather move inventory now and get cash in the door vs holding out for price but losing sales. Sales will no doubt drop next year by a large amount. And "winter is coming" and I don't mean the seasonal change that happens every year.

If my house has a generator hook up can this battery be used to power my house?
This only puts out 120V. If your generator connection is 120V then yes, but it is likely 240V.

Im thinking of waiting it out also. Could be a mistake but who knows. One vender already gave me a 5% coupon then 10 when I didnt buy and now 12%. They are making it hard to wait for BF!!!

Two delta pro 3's, or one delta pro 3 and extra battery? I am thinking about getting the SHP2, and possibly the dual fuel generator. But if I get two pros, the gen can only be hooked to one and auto start? What is the advantage of two units compared to one with extra battery? double the solar panels I'm guessing? Anything else?

Two units, plus ONE battery allows one to have a unit in a main place like a garage near a panel or large applicant, and then a 2nd unit in another room like a master or other for overnight use.. as well two units allows one to charge a unit plus battery (batteries usually required a unit to charge from solar or other) while a 2nd unit is maintaining the appliance/s.. so it's more flexibility and usability for sure.. but yes a bit more $$ overall as each independent power station has a premium for all the other tech vs. just batteries.
