When this product is good, it's really good. However, it seems that the quality is inconsistent. I had been using two or three cans per week for years, but there were occasions with this product having little or no flavor, as if something was missing or the batch had not been mixed well, and other times with the tomato pieces appearing to have come from tomatoes that were not fully ripened. Eventually, I decided to stop using the product altogether.

I've definitely had cans with green tomatoes as well.

Your sense of taste might have changed with age.

No, it's not that. I am referring to variations from can to can. There would be alternating periods of time (batches) with every can being good, and then every can being short of the mark. Also, as I mentioned tinned, there would be times with tomatoes that were clearly less ripe, or tomato pieces that included the connection point for the stem. This has nothing to do with my own sense of taste.
