Breville Precision Brewer stands out for precise temperature control and strong brew quality, especially for full pots and larger batches. The brew temperature, bloom time, and flow rate get high marks, and the machine can automatically adjust for single cup or smaller volumes under 4 cups. It also runs well day after day, with hot coffee holding for several hours in the steel carafe version. The main drawbacks are the need to measure and refill carefully, leftover water in the basket, and a glass carafe that may not keep coffee as hot.
The brewer can automatically adjust settings for smaller volumes under four cups, helping produce tasting coffee with less water.
The thermo block and pump design can deliver similar full-pot quality to another thermo-block model while offering temperature control advantages.
The brew temperature, bloom time, and flow rate can perform extremely well during regular brewing.
Coffee can stay hot for several hours in the steel carafe version, which suggests good heat retention behavior.
The large flat basket filter holder can require a #4 cone adapter, and drip stop can leave leftover water in the basket.
Single-serve brewing can taste too cold when the reservoir water is cold, while room-temperature water may be needed for better results.
The removable water reservoir can require measuring and refilling daily, and overfilling can dilute the coffee.
The glass carafe version may not include a carafe warmer, and coffee heat retention could be worse than the steel carafe.

From manual:
SINGLE CUP/SMALLER VOLUMES (LESS THAN 4 CUPS, 20OZ) 1. Your Breville Precision Brewer will recognize when the brewer has less than 4 cups (20oz) of water & will adjust the brew settings, automatically, to make the best possible tasting coffee. Fill your cup with fresh cold water and then pour it into the water tank, ensuring the water level stays below the SINGLE CUP line.

if you look this up on you tube there is a good review from James Hoffmann.
Here's my take on this: if you make single serve(4 cup line) , ensure that the water is not cold from your fridge/filter when you load it into the reservoir. It heats up but it also adjusts the temp to where it's safe to drink and it is too cold for me. I've not had issues with room temp water. Works even better when you make more than the 4 cup line.

I'm asking in earnest, other than price, why would you go with the Ninja? I have no need for the dual brew feature. If it's better for brewing coffee, I'd go with the Ninja.
