I have this set and they are pretty nice. The sharpener works well and keeps the knives nice and sharp. I paid a bit more than this and am very happy with the set.

45% off doesn't seem like a bad deal, but anyone have any experience with these and if they're worth it?

I don't have Ninja knives, but I have a lot of other Ninja items. None of them hold up well. Pots and pans scratch and chip, and we take extremely good care of them, hand wash, and no metal utensils. Toaster oven doesn't heat evenly, and the flip toaster is the same. Also have a blender, crock pot, coffee maker and grill.

I only have the Ninja blender/food processor. The Food processor gets used several times a week, and has for the last 4 or 5 years, and it hasn't had any issues, despite taking a beating. Can't say anything about their other items, though.

I know right. Got most of it all at once. Kohls would have tremendous deals that are no longer available. Most I got at 75% off.

Can you sharpen smaller knives with this or just the bigger one? The sharpening slot seems too big for the smaller knives.

my experience too; i have some of their pans and the 14pc knife set - no problems with years of daily use.

Opposite experience, at least with: Toaster oven used multiple times weeklyDuo-Coffee maker used daily (refurb)Blender/food processor used monthlyEach of the above has a 2+ year lifespan with, thankfully, no issues yet. I've said this, and now they'll all break over the weekend...

Have the chef knife and a few others with the sharpener and very happy with them. The smaller knives do indeed work in the sharpener.

Maybe they send their B items to kohls....Personally I have a mixed bag with them. I will say they do stand behind their pots and pans warranty. They did deliver one pan that was warped and sent a replacement right away. We haven't had issues with the waffle maker, and the only issue with the coffee maker is the time is fast. After a week or so, it is the wrong time. Mostly the pots and pans have been the biggest letdown. We have 10 or so of those and use them often. They scratch /chip/flake. The lids hold water around the ring that you can't get out. We use the toaster oven numerous times a week, it's the first one they made that could flip, but you couldn't open the bottom to clean it. That is the one where the lower burners are not heating the same as the top. To toast is not even. The flip toaster is the same now. The smaller one with the tray. Uneven heating. Blender is fine, and the crock pot possible cooker is fine. We never use the grill or the creami.

No. Most of the knives are just fluff, added to make you think you're getting value for your dollar. If you're a true "chef-at-home" then you'll know these knives are barely passable.

You would be better served getting a decent Chef's knife like the Victorinox Fibrox 8". I decent bread knife, pairing knife, and some kitchen shears by Made-in. You'll spend slightly more than $110 but have a much better tools. You can then later add a fileting knife, slicing knife if needed.
