I cannot tell or find info on if this is a temporary or permanent price reduction making way for the SM11. typically they have a new version every 2 years. better price if you are in the market like am.

available at most alternative stores and websites.

I just started playing but I needed to add a sand wedge to my set of used clubs. These are the originals that the Kirkland wedge set were based off right? Probably overkill for my skill level though at this cost.

Either those or the MG line from Taylormade.

Either way, they are one of the best wedges out there, and actually the most played wedge on tour I think. Not that it would matter to us more casual players though. I would've done this deal but I just some MG5s myself.

Just starting out this would be overkill but at the same time, I found SM9 at my local shop used for $30 so keep an eye out for used.

Great point, but do you trust used wedges? From what I've read they're the one club type that might have a limited lifespan when buying used.

If I were a tour pro or playing tournaments maybe it's an issue but I'm a 25 hcp so a worn grind is the least of my worries. My current wedge set is very used and the grind is still there.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'm nowhere near a decent player yet but I've been trying to stay away from equipment that makes me look worse and I'm not at the point yet where I understand the impact of some of these details (worn grooves on a wedge being a prime example). I don't want to spend real money on equipment yet either, figured if I can get consistent results then I'll want to spend some money and do it right
