Sherwin Williams is running a strong paint and supplies promotion, with the biggest draw being 40 percent off paints and stains and 30 percent off supplies. The sale can also pair with a $10 off coupon, and an Amex offer may add a $20 statement credit on $100 or more in store. Untinted paint can be bought now and tinted later at no charge, which helps for future projects. The main caveat is that the discount is framed against MSRP, and the promotion may apply only to interior paint and stain unless the exterior banner or link is available.
Shoppers can buy untinted paint during the sale and tint it later for an upcoming project.
Stores may accommodate a price adjustment when shoppers bring items to the counter and request it.
Commercial accounts can receive year-round pricing that can be better than the sale price.
An Amex offer may provide a one-time $20 statement credit after a single $100+ in-store purchase.
The "40% off" framing can be misleading because it may apply to MSRP that retailers do not actually charge.
Interior paint and stain eligibility may be limited, so shoppers should confirm they are buying the correct category.
Paint coverage performance may be worse than before, with some reporting it does not cover like it used to.
Tinted paint may not be returnable, which can limit flexibility after color selection.

That's a good tip. I'll probably go this route.

As someone who buys and renovates homes(not just crappy flips)
Each company has a purpose and place including Benjamin Moore
GC's are about squeezing every last penny for profit.
The $10 off coupon worked for me though
One other thing to note is you can also buy the pain untinted while it's on sale if you don't know what color you want yet, then come back later and get it tinted at no charge.
Don't ask a GC. Ask a painter that actually paints(not sales).
