As someone who STILL owns a pc repair shop, and has so for better part of 15 years, while people definitely go overkill on psu, there is a thing called transient spikes.

If you have a Micro Center nearby, you can put together a PC around this price without the GPU.

7800X3D bundle with mobo and 32gb ram for $550
Case - $50
PSU - $50
CPU cooler - $50
2TB SSD - $100
Total cost around $800 without the RTX 3060 GPU and Windows OS if you planning to get a different GPU anyway. While the deal isn't terrible if you planning to do light gaming with the RTX 3060, but you can definitely put together a similar or better spec PC around this price.
Edit - you can also get a RTX 5070 - $500 or RX 9070 XT - $600 at Micro Center, and you have a pretty decent gaming PC.

is this as good as it gets for the price, or will Black Friday do better?

My goal was 7800x3d + 5070 but I saw that the vram can struggle or even crash in games like Indiana Jones due to only having 12gb...It might be fine if you don't max everything since raytracing uses vram and even frame gen etc...

So now I'm looking to wait for the 5070 super 18gb (Has extra cores) or Black Friday if 5070ti becomes sweeter but its overkill for me.

This deal is good if you have another computer that needs a low-end GPU you want to throw the 3060 into. If you 'gotta have' a 7800x3D and don't mind the rest of whatever else is thrown into this thing then you got a decent deal after subtracting what an 8gb 3060 is worth ($150). Just make sure you spend the extra for the 850W power supply to save yourself a headache down the road.

So, the idea is to get this, then snag a better GPU like 5070 on sale for sub $500 bucks, and you end up with a very decent gaming machine for ~$1400?
Honesty not too bad, but yea CyberPower has terrible reviews, IMO I would keep waiting until black friday.
Sure, but even better options go on sale without having to play hardware music chairs. This isn't a good enough deal to be worth the hassle.

Walmart had this ibuypower system on sale about a month ago with 7800x3D, 32gb of ram, and 5070 for $1200: https://www.walmart.com/ip/17172670195

With black friday around the corner, I'm willing to bet similar systems will be priced same or better than a random ibuypower sale.

This is a horrible deal. The 3060 is basically a filler GPU when paired with this CPU. If you're going to buy this just to upgrade the GPU, wait for a deal like the 7800x3d with 5070 for 1300 or 1400 that was posted a week or two ago.
