Visible's cheapest plan is a low-cost way to get Verizon network service, unlimited data, and hotspot, with the higher tiers adding faster priority data and watch support. The strongest upside is value, especially for Fios customers who can cut the bill further, and several reports say setup and porting can be quick. The main cautions are area dependent performance, with some congested spots, airports, and older phones causing slow speeds or dropped calls, and the $19 plan is often described as capped around 5 Mbps with 480p video. It is a flexible, no contract option if your local coverage is solid.

  • heavy data users who need reliable hotspot for streaming and don't want to worry about hotspot speed dropping after a threshold because commenters say the higher tiers don't slow you down after hotspot usage and that hotspot is capped by plan tier (5/10/15 Mbps) but unlimited at those speeds.

  • people who want to use Visible as off-grid or backup home internet with a cellular router because commenters say hotspot works well on Visible Basic (including using it for 20-40GB/month for over a year) and that being ~1,000 feet from a Verizon tower helped hotspot performance.

  • people with Verizon Fios who want to effectively lower the monthly cost because commenters say the $19 plan can be "effectively ~$4/month" after the $15 Fios discount.

  • iPhone users who care about video calling quality because commenters specifically ask about FaceTime quality on the $19 plan and others report FaceTime "has always looked great" on Visible.

  • people who travel internationally occasionally (especially to Canada/Mexico or Caribbean) because commenters describe seamless US↔Canada roaming on Visible+ Pro and explain Global Pass days for many countries with unlimited talk/text and 2GB/day high-speed data.

  • Apple Watch owners who want to pay and take calls without carrying the phone because commenters say the $33 tier is best for using an Apple Watch to pay and take calls without having the phone on them, and that Apple Pay/Watch Pay works without internet.

  • people who rely on consistent service in congested areas or heavily loaded venues because commenters report spotty connection quality and throttling/deprioritization during peak times (including "horrendous" airport data and unusable data in congested places).

  • people who need phone-call customer support or fast human escalation because multiple commenters say Visible has no phone number and support is chat-only/bot-based, with slow escalation when issues happen.

  • people who want to stack promos like Party Pay/Switch26 with other discounts because commenters say Party Pay was gone and that discounts can't be combined/stacked (Circle now can't be stacked).

  • people who are planning to port and activate right before a deadline if they can't tolerate onboarding/payment problems because commenters report major porting/activation and payment failures (including long delays and even account bans) that forced them to switch to another carrier.

  • people who mainly need the cheapest $19 tier for hotspot or video streaming because commenters warn the $19 plan hotspot is limited to about 5 Mbps and is only good for about one video stream.

  • people who need to watch high-bandwidth live streams on the lowest tier because one commenter says they couldn't even watch Douyin Live on the $19 plan due to frequent hiccups, while another plan worked better for them.

Are these prices the total or there's additional taxes and fees on top?

no offer to existing members?
They had one a couple of weeks ago. I was able to upgrade from the lowest plan @ $19/month their highest plan, including service for my watch, for $210 for the year (after I stacked it with $15 back on my Sapphire card). Chat them up. Maybe they'll still offer it to you. They seem to be fairly flexible in general.

Any offers on iPhone? I was planning to switch from mint and maybe get a new phone, but this looks like a pretty great deal for unlimited data.

I'm in the same boat except my mint is paid till the end of may. I need a new phone and although I been with mint several years there service this year(past 6months or so) has taken a down slope. I had total 3months last year (same as visible towers) and the service was much better than mint even when mint service was working fine. If I knew how to get a refund from mint id switch tomorrow! Visible recently had a pretty good 16e deal , if it pops up again I may just forfeit my mint plan.

port out is when you take your current phone number over to a new carrier. Example: porting your phone number from AT&T to Visible

Ported an existing line to Visible around Black Friday.
I already had 2 other phones of the same model on Visible in my household.
It took dozens calls with Customer Service and countless hours for them to finally provide consistant service on that line that I had been unable to use for about 2 months.
No idea what the problem was and I still get slower service on that line regardless of which device I am using.
Hassle was not worth the cost savings at all.
Back when I moved the other two lines to Visible one was pretty seamless while the other had a issue that took a few days to resolve but may have been the fault of the old carrier not releasing the phone number.

Is there a way to try this without porting out my current number?

So hypothetically with Visible+ being the same QCI as Verizon's premium offerings there would be no difference in speed across the two? Or does Visible route data separately which might cause differences in speed across the two?

I currently have Verizon. Can I port my number to Visible? Will I be considered a new member despite already being on the Verizon network? I would save some money switching.

So I am on Verizon now. Basically have 2 lines with the same service as the middle tier and pay 3x the price.

Is there really any difference??

Switched from mint to visible thinking it would be better. It's 2 months for me on visible and data prioritization is horrible. Can't get it working in any major store in Walmart or Target. Always and always issue with service in congested areas. Didn't had this issue with mint mobile. Btw I am in socal.
I used to be on Mint as well and can vouch this is true -- but I never experienced it in Walmart and target. Only airports -- horrendous at airports. Absolutely zero useable data. If the airport has WiFi, no issue. But if you're traveling 1x or less a year, this should not be your concer.
