Port out to the free month of US Mobile for a day and then go back to Visible with a new email address.

Unless it's changed recently the speeds are capped at 5 (basic) / 10 (plus) /15 (plus pro) Mbps for the three plans. But it's unlimited at those speeds, they don't slow you down after x GB of hotspot usage.

Community Reviews

Visible's cheapest plan is a low-cost way to get Verizon network service, unlimited data, and hotspot, with the higher tiers adding faster priority data and watch support. The strongest upside is value, especially for Fios customers who can cut the bill further, and several reports say setup and porting can be quick. The main cautions are area dependent performance, with some congested spots, airports, and older phones causing slow speeds or dropped calls, and the $19 plan is often described as capped around 5 Mbps with 480p video. It is a flexible, no contract option if your local coverage is solid.

Common Questions (5)

  • No. The base Visible plan is described as capped around 5 Mbps, while the higher tiers are 10 Mbps and 15 Mbps. It is still unlimited data, but the cheapest plan is deprioritized and can feel slow in congested areas.

    FreshmilkjoshuaNHBunduckieUniqueRock932

  • No stacking is allowed. Party Pay is gone, and the promo terms say discounts can't be combined, though a referral credit may still apply separately in the cart.

    KCKSelefante72JazFskb3385

  • Yes on the higher Visible+ tiers, which include watch service, and Apple Pay/Watch Pay can work without internet. The watch can also make payments on its own LTE connection, so you do not need your phone with you.

    SupraSaverTealHalibut185partyman66NevertheVictor

  • It can be enough for light-to-moderate use, but hotspot speed on the base plan is limited to about 5 Mbps. Some users report 20-40 GB a month or even around 130 GB total usage without issues, while others find the base plan too slow for heavy video or congested areas.

  • Yes. The deal has no special port-in requirement beyond opening a new Visible line, so you can port from Verizon, TracFone, or elsewhere and still qualify as a new member.

...also worth noting it was totally seamless going back and forth between the US and Canada which I was doing often this spring. Colleagues on one of the major postpaid providers had to activate some add-on and pay a daily fee if I recall correctly. I was too much of an international travel novice to even think about doing that, but everything (voice, text, data) worked perfectly fine and I didn't get charged an extra cent. I looked when I got home and I think there may have been a 2GB/day cap on data when traveling to Canada or something like that...I expect that's sufficient for most. This was under the Visible+ Pro plan in May/June -- unless things have changed for the worse which seems unlikely, this should still be the case. If you travel farther afield than Canada and Mexico, you also get (or got?) and allotment of "Global Passes" with your plan which give you unlimited talk/text data in like 150 countries (don't quote me on the number but it's definitely >100) and you can bank them up to at least a dozen (my current balance). If you travel internationally occasionally this is probably really nice. Really it's a great value. I hate myself for overpaying for VZW postpaid for so long.

Yeah I'm bummed I missed the $15 plan. Switched to GFI so I could switch back but got greedy and ran that trial credit through and VZ pulled their $15 promo Frown

One thing that sucks about VZ is that you need a new email every time you come back to them

Pricing is all-in. What they advertise is what you pay.

So the $19 cheapest plan with this promo will be $228 for 1 year. I need to switch from Total in Dec, but Infimobile might be the way to go as the 15 GB plan is about $112 for 1 year. Yes, no hot spot and not unlimited, but 15 gigs is plenty for most people.

Oh man, Visible is the best/worst. Their payment system was having some problem when I signed up, so my payment didn't go through. I tried a few times and eventually gave up. Plan activated anyway. It could never make calls, but the unlimited data worked for 6 months before they cut it off. Never charged me a cent.

15 gigs is not enough this day.
" The typical range for US smartphone users falls between 5-15 GB per month for moderate users. Light users who primarily browse websites and check email may only need 1-2 GB monthly, while heavy streamers watching HD video content regularly can consume 30 GB or more."
