...also worth noting it was totally seamless going back and forth between the US and Canada which I was doing often this spring. Colleagues on one of the major postpaid providers had to activate some add-on and pay a daily fee if I recall correctly. I was too much of an international travel novice to even think about doing that, but everything (voice, text, data) worked perfectly fine and I didn't get charged an extra cent. I looked when I got home and I think there may have been a 2GB/day cap on data when traveling to Canada or something like that...I expect that's sufficient for most. This was under the Visible+ Pro plan in May/June -- unless things have changed for the worse which seems unlikely, this should still be the case. If you travel farther afield than Canada and Mexico, you also get (or got?) and allotment of "Global Passes" with your plan which give you unlimited talk/text data in like 150 countries (don't quote me on the number but it's definitely >100) and you can bank them up to at least a dozen (my current balance). If you travel internationally occasionally this is probably really nice. Really it's a great value. I hate myself for overpaying for VZW postpaid for so long.

Yeah I'm bummed I missed the $15 plan. Switched to GFI so I could switch back but got greedy and ran that trial credit through and VZ pulled their $15 promo Frown

One thing that sucks about VZ is that you need a new email every time you come back to them

Unless it's changed recently the speeds are capped at 5 (basic) / 10 (plus) /15 (plus pro) Mbps for the three plans. But it's unlimited at those speeds, they don't slow you down after x GB of hotspot usage.

Wasn't the visible plus was $25 not too long ago and the iPhone deal with the highest plan 50% off were all better deal?

Any new visible line qualifies

So yes, you can port from anywhere, including TracFone

So the $19 cheapest plan with this promo will be $228 for 1 year. I need to switch from Total in Dec, but Infimobile might be the way to go as the 15 GB plan is about $112 for 1 year. Yes, no hot spot and not unlimited, but 15 gigs is plenty for most people.

Oh man, Visible is the best/worst. Their payment system was having some problem when I signed up, so my payment didn't go through. I tried a few times and eventually gave up. Plan activated anyway. It could never make calls, but the unlimited data worked for 6 months before they cut it off. Never charged me a cent.
