I had Verizon/iPhone for about 8 years and then switched to Visible. I have not noticed any difference. To add some context, I was an sysadmin at a large company that had a verizon account with 800+ lines. I had the top tier of everything they offered as I was the account manager and my reps were trying to keep me happy. I switched to visible about 2 years ago when i left the company and I love Visible. The only thing I miss is the free phone upgrades.

To add some context, I was an sysadmin at a large company that had a verizon account with 800+ lines. I had the top tier of everything Verizon offered as I was the account manager and my reps were trying to keep me happy. I switched to visible about 2 years ago when i left the company and I love Visible. The only thing I miss is the free phone upgrades.

This company is a complete nightmare. Tried to port over my main line from Tmobile postpaid, should be super straightforward. They have no phone number (ironic for a phone company) but they have Philippines chatters for CSR. After lots of consideration I decided on their top plan promo, untied my number from Tmobile and did all the porting preliminaries. HOWEVER, when I went to activate it, that's when it broke down. You pay them by CC, shouldn't be an issue. Gave them my AMEX (4% cashback on cellular). AMEX held the charge and texted me to be sure it was me, I approved the charge and they said to submit it again. However, it didn't go through. So I used a different AMEX, and according to AMEX Visible never even submitted that or the first transaction again. I also tried their Venmo and PayPal options- with Discover and a direct savings pull. After at least seven hours and multiple days of the most inane and incompetent "customer service" care, I finally told them to escalate to their own "fraud" department figuring that they would have someone there with an IQ higher than my child's age, but nope. Within an hour Visible's "fraud" department came back with a permanent ban, and said I would need to create an entirely new account and restart the entire process again! From what I see in our state law I might have a CPUC case against them, article 7.

Anyway, cut bait on these crooks, cancelled the port then redid it with USMobile and the whole process of moving my line over took roughly half an hour total.

After over a week on US Mobile I have both Verizon and ATT service for about the same price as I was going to pay Visible. I stuck around longer trying to get Visible to work because they throw in a watch line and allegedly have better speeds, but I'm pulling over 100 Mbps down and not too concerned. Visible also had some extra benefits that would have better facilitated travel, but if they advertise so well but don't deliver then no point in dealing with such a scummy company.

I had Verizon forever...tried Google fi, and didn't like it (although it works well internationally). I didn't want a credit pull so I went with Verizon prepaid. Recently got a new vehicle that required more data for Android Auto, so Verizon talked me into normal plan, but neglected to tell me I would not have hotspot. So, this is cheaper, same provider, and unlimited hotspot. I quickly signed up!

I Switched from Cricket to Visible last month at the lowest $19 plan and I can't even watch Douyin Live broadcasts (Tiktok). every few seconds, it would hiccup. Never had that problem with the cricket 4 lines for $100 plan. I had cricket since 2013 and never had this issue. As soon as I went to Visible, it would get the live broadcast would get stuck every few seconds and on Cricket I used avg 180GB a month watching live broadcasts.

So yes, it's cheaper but no it's not if you factor in the throttle back of the bandwidth.

I'm not saying Visible customer service isn't horrid but Honestly it was AMEX that screwed it all up with their nanny protection. Visible is great as long as things stay on track but if something goes the slight bit wrong....then it's a black hole. Same thing at all these Verizon owned MVNOs. Feels like the Russian Roulette of cellular service.

My experience after an entire year is that Visible phone service is very poor. No reception in my house, many dropped calls, and no human being for customer service unless they decide you need a call back. I now switched to US Mobile and so far I am 5 weeks in and very happy. The reception in the home is good, no dropped calls and I can switch from A T & T towers, to Verizon, to T-Mobile for 2 dollars a pop. My area the at&t aka dark star is the best, other areas different towers are better. The employ real people to chat or talk with, great reception and killer great prices. I would not commit to 2 years! US Mobile gave me a free month to try it out so actually I am 9 weeks into this service. I got their name from Consumer Reports as the best.

During Black Friday I upgraded from Plus to Plus Pro to claim a deal that made it cheaper than Plus. I've noticed no difference in data speeds or call quality.

Chase Amazon card has 25% off at Visible. Between my other Chase and Citi cards I've been paying $15 a month for my service. I have really no complaints.

In Dec I switched to $33 Visible+ Pro Plan from AT&T and it is going great. Only noticed once or twice my office call signal skipping a bit or two while going on the interstate at 70mph but rest it has been great. Much better than AT&T in areas where AT&T was struggling. Totally recommend.
