The $3 grey phone-activation keys are cheap for a reason. Manual calls, unstable activation, no guarantees. Online LTSC keys activate directly through Microsoft — no "magic scripts" required. Not really the same category.

Don't overlook that there is no Publisher in this edition, and MS365 is discontinuing Publisher October 2026. Hang onto 2021 or earlier if use Publisher.

I entered the key and tried to download via Microsoft. It said:
Service Unavailable
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.
Please try again later.
Google says that message is there because MS can't validate it.
Any other ideas other than this?

Edit:
Contacted vendor and they said it needed to be download via MS Office Deployment Tool

This is the standard edition, which I think used to be called student and teacher or some such, so no. The Pro Plus still has access, and onenote, but no editions after 2021 have Publisher. Visio is still avilable as a standalone.

As long as this is legitimate then cool. If you don't have access to Microsoft Family and Friends, then this isn't bad at all.

A word of caution. I have Office 2021 installed on my computer and wanted to upgrade to Office 2024 using this product. After uninstalling Office 2021 and installing Office 2024, it reverted to Office 2021. The seller says it is a known bug because Office 2021 may not be completely removed. Did a remote session with MS support. They completely removed Office 2021. Same problem afterwards. Maybe it works well if upgrading from older Office versions, but it does not seem to work if using Office 2021 previously. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.
