So I myself am very interested in these mini pc's.
From what I have researched, I personally split it it into three categories.

GO CHEAP. If you don't game and just want something capable of not doing much... you know... what 99% of the worlds needs would be met with a N97. They go for about $125ish. I think this is the perfect HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer)
Ryzen 7 OR 9... 8 thousand series and this close to one of the better deals. What makes the 8 thousand series so special is it has a 780m integrated within the CPU which is capable of playing new games at low to mid settings.
You by a mini PC with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. This Chip has the next gen GPU within it... it is labeled 890m and it is about 33% faster then the 780m but don't fool yourself, you can only play the newest games on low to mid settings.

I figure if you really wanted a desktop, then that is what you will buy. These mini pc's are based on LAPTOP specs. So it uses a laptop GPU and a laptop CPU. I will be buying one but not yet.... and I am pretty sure I will be buying the AI9 HX 370... found refurbished barebones for about $500ish.
Is this $550 after coupon? BUT I PREFER THE F5A NO THE F3A.

my FAVORITE mini pc as of today...
https://acemagic.com/products/f5a-minipc
But this deal is GOOD and is inline with the more expensive and cheaper mini pc's. I just like the best... even though it may only be the best until the next best shows up.
I personally will be looking to buy 64GB of RAM or more and 4TB hard drive. (add another $400 to any purchase). I will ONLY buy Samsung 990 pro or WD black. And I don't care which RAM. I just want my hard drive to be bulletproof.
Last thing I will say is my laptops are a i7 and i5 3rd gen and I just got Microsoft to give me one more year of updates for free. So I see myself buying new laptop in a year and it is hard to justify any other PC system that I may buy.

Could you also advise, how these mini pcs are powered? will it work from regular 100w charger and usb c cable? There is written about OCuLink in the link you provided. I think this could be best way for anyone, who is going to play on it.

One of the images on the site shows a barrel charger style DC input, so it has a power brick.

Yes, it has a Laptop style charger, not an internal one like the newer and costlier models from these Chines brands.

I'm guessing it's better to have the laptop-style power brick. If it fails, you just swap it out. With an internal PSU, when it's toast, you're toast.

by the end of 2026 it wouldn't surprise me in the least if we had a "touch" of free boot level spyware included in everything ... of course i say that in jest.. but then again let us not forget the FTC's "Alexa" allegations.

When's the last time you had an internal power supply failure? While it is possible, unlikely. More likely a cord to be damaged, especially from a laptop, that's had the cord plugged in and out and fold it up over and over.

To be fair, if a person is looking for one of these PCs for the first time, they may have no idea of the potential problems or history of these devices.

If you were on a budget, would you get the one without SSD, RAM, OS? Or get the add-on?

Might be a dumb question because I am out of the loop. Could I use GeForce now ultimate and take advantage of 4k120hz? I thought that was an HDMI 2.1 thing
