You have said it. 16gb. I doubt if you can ever find a 32gb device for this price unless you are upgrading by yourself (in which case the gpu performance is trash because upgradable ram is slow).
don't understand why you would say upgraded RAM is slow? But yes, the ideapad 5 RAM can not be updated.
I will add... due to the tablet having very little airflow... I bet it will be throttled and the real question is will the 32GB of RAM be faster then a laptop with much better airflow that has 16GB of RAM. Plus I have the faster 8845hs.

Honestly what you have is solid but we are talking about comparing a tablet which was at one point cutting edge technology when it was released to a common work/office laptop.

This is certainly an interesting device. I don't think I need it so I'm not going to get one, but right now I have a refurbished acer laptop I got two years ago (with an i7-1355u processor, 32gb of ram, and a 1tb drive), and I also have a lenovo duet 10.1 I got dirt cheap off of ebay, and in theory this could theoretically replace both with the disadvantage of being somewhat heavier than the lenovo duet, which could be convenient for travelling.

If minisforum keeps making tablets with decent specs like this that aren't too expensive I might consider getting one in the future.

Nice deal but I heard they discontinued this tablet (and hasn't announced any successor, so probably dipped out of Windows tablet market), so don't expect to buy parts and accessories and stuff later down the line.

Should I buy this or a laptop for home/study use at the same price?

I bit on the 16GB Ram version which is even cheaper.
thats a bad buy. everything about it is inferior, its not just.. "16gb less ram"

Reviews say battery life is below mid. It's capable of some decent gaming performance per Linus but you'll get about 1 hour of battery life for intensive activity and 5 hours of real computer usage. Probably gonna be a used battery so expect it to be even lower than that.
Thanks, not going to pick this up then. Not even 8 hours of normal usage is pretty bad...

Read a review. This tablet has airflow. Its vented along the edges and back
